Bruce Greene, 912 N. Linden St., died Sunday in University Hospital, Indianapolis, following an extended illness. He was born in Muncie, the son of H.J. and Grace (Meeks) Greene.
Mr. Greene was a graduate of Central High School and attended Ball State University. He was associated with his father, and brother Hubert, in H.J. Greene Plumbing Co., for many years. He also held a real estate license prior to his retirement. Recently, he was a director of Greene Jug Liquors.
Mr. Greene was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, where he was a former deacon, and Elks Lodge 245.
Survivors include his wife Phyllis Rice Greene; two sons, David Bruce, Muncie, and James Douglas, Indianapolis; one daughter, Janice Marie Greene, Muncie; one sister, Mrs. Gwendolyn Lasssiter, Canton, Ohio; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Meeks Mortuary. Dr. Laurence A. Martin will officiate. Entombment will follow in Elm Ridge Mausoleum. Friends may call at the mortuary from 7-9 p.m. today or prior to services Wednesday.
