Lura Duncan Ward, 93, of Stamp Creek Landing Road, Seneca, SC, wife of the late Charles Edward Ward, died Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Lila Doyle Nursing Facility.

A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Ward was the daughter of the late Van Zea Duncan and Addie Hood Duncan. She was a homemaker and a member of Wolf Stake Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons, Donnie Ward (Linda), Randy Ward (Joyce), Stanley Ward (Elaine), all of Seneca; daughters, Paulette Kirby (Jack) and Joyce Long (Jimmie), both of Seneca, and Lois Boggs (Kenneth) of Dacusville; sister, Dora Harrison of Fair Play; seventeen grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ward was predeceased by a son, Charles (infant), daughter, Geraldine (infant); brothers, Ernest Duncan, Claude Duncan and Ode Duncan; sisters, Annie O'Kelley, Belle Peay, and Mae Duncan.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Wolf Stake Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM, prior to the service, at the church
