Dorothy West Archer, 88, of St. Marys, W.Va., passed away Nov. 16, 2012, in Riverside Memorial Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.

She was born Nov. 5, 1924, in the Windy Ridge community, Wirt County, a daughter of the late Charles and Gladys (Full) West.

Her sister, Opal Murray, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sons and their wives, Phillip and Judy Archer, Jim and Roxann Archer and Keith and Donna Archer, all of Sandyville, Gene and Marsha Archer of Wichita, Kan., and Paul and Holly Archer of Grove City, Pa.; daughters and their husbands, Karen and Pierce Martin of Elizabeth and Rose Ann and Robert Griffith of Sandyville; 20 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ruth Sams of St. Marys and Jean Fortney of Reedsville, Ohio.

The children would like to express their thanks and appreciation from the entire family to Linda Gessner, Dorothy's niece, for the love and care she gave to their mother.

Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Ravenswood, W.Va.
