Born July 30, 1955, in Sterling, she was a daughter of Marion and Delores (McConnell) Royer.
Debbie was a cna for over 15 years, working at Dixon State School, then Sterling Pavilion. She enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino. In her spare time, she liked to go for drives in the country, playing computer games and bingo. She also enjoyed going to the Midway Drive-in Theater. Her love of family and friends will fondly be remembered by those who loved her.
Surviving are her daughter, Shanna Royer (Don Rhodes); her grandchildren, Shantell Preston, Tori Preston, Tessa Preston and Mardy Preston, Jr.; a sister, Tammy (Ronnie) Schies; her brothers, Dale Royer (Kathleen Burk) and Terry (Marlyn) Royer, Sr. and several nieces and nephews. S
he was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gary Royer; a sister, Cindy Royer and a nephew, Terry Royer II.
Visitation will be from 10 - 11 AM Monday, November 26, 2012 at Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls. The funeral will follow at 11 AM at the church with Pastor Dalmus Meeks, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
