John Hartley, aged 34, former resident of Springport, Henry County, Indiana, died suddenly of a heart attack yesterday at his home in Auburn. Mr. Hartley had lived in Auburn seven years, going there from Springport. He was employed at the Studebaker Corporation at Fort Wayne. Mr. Hartley was a member of the Christian Church at Springport.
Surviving are the wife, Helen Brindel; a daughter, Maryln, at home; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Edgar Hartley, of near Springport; a brother, Loren Hartley, of near Muncie; and one sister, Mrs. Marcella Ritchie, of near Fairmount.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 o'clock Saturday night in Auburn, after which the body will be brought to the Piepho Funeral Home where funeral services will also be conducted at two o'clock Monday afternoon. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Sunday.
