Moray enlisted in Co. C, 2nd OR. Inf. on Apr. 29, 1898; was discharged after a tour in the Philippines on Aug. 7, 1899. At enlistment, he was 5'11" in height, had blue eyes, auburn hair, and fair complexion.

He graduated from the University of Oregon in the class of 1900. In the fall of 1900 he returned to Manila and was appointed Asst. Superintendent of Public Exposition.

Later went to Mazallan, Sinaloa, Mexico where he ran a sugar mill.

In 1911, Moray married Maria Pastora Perez in Acaponeta, Mexico. Maria was born in 1893 in Mexico. She died on 22 Dec 1928 in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico.

They had three children.

Moray died in Mexico and was buried in Los Angeles, California.
