John A. Wishard, 52, Dies 9 Hours After Being Found Injured

Dr. S. D. Shull, Franklin County Coroner, will conduct an investigation into the death of John (Jim) Albert Wishard, 52, of Waynesboro Route 3, who died at 11:30 p.m. yesterday at the Waynesboro Hospital nearly nine hours after being admitted with head injuries and a paralytic condition.

Mr. Wishard, who operated a garage and trucking business in the Zullinger area, was found on the garage floor about 2:30 p.m. yesterday by his son-in-law, Eugene V. Rock.

He was removed tot he hospital in the ATH&L ambulance. Hospital reports indicated he suffered a severe injury to the head above and back of the left ear.

Last night a physician said Mr. Wishard was paralyzed on the left side and pending further investigation it was assumed he suffered a stroke and fell to the garage floor, possibly from a truck.

He was born near Hoover's Mill, Waynesboro Route 3, the son of John and Margaret (Duffy) Wishard. He had lived his entire life in the vicinity of Waynesboro and operated the stone quarry at Zullinger for five years after his father's retirement.
