Survived by his daughters Karen(Thomas) Morris Of Joliet,Illinois and Paulette (Charles) Moody of Chenoa, Illinois. Three grandsons Thomas (Amy) Morris, Eric (Shannon) Morris and Andrew Moody, Two great grandchildren also survive. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by his first wife Fern Seeman Babbe (1974), second wife Ruth Anderson/Durbin/Babbe (1999) one son Richard Babbe (1978). His parents father William E Babbe (1978), his mother Naomi M Williams (1972, one sister Pearl M (2007)late Louis(1991)Seeman, one brother George Babbe (1982).

William served in the US Army Infantry in WWII Pacific Theater, receiving a Purple Heart. Was alife member of Stone City VFW Post 2199. He moved to Danville, Illinois in 1991. Graveside service will be held monday November 19,2012 with Pastor Bennie Yarbough officiating. Internment in Woodlawn cemetery, Joliet,Illinois.
