Leora Kathleen Dick Biggs, 95, of Tug Creek Mtn. Hinton, passed away early Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Summers County Regional Hospital following a long illness.

Born June 28, 1916, at Summers County, she was a daughter of the late John Dick and Mary Martin Perkins.

Leora was a Christian who attended Hinton Gospel Tabernacle for the last 30 years. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Summers County.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Basil Biggs who passed away in 1989; one son, Arnold Biggs; two brothers, Hobert Dick and Otis Jones; six sisters, Sintilla Ward, Rena Ward, Lona Hall, Edna Rakes, Icie Muncey and Madeline Smith.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas Biggs and Perry Biggs, both of Hinton; two daughters, Dorothy Finn of Baltimore, Md., and Wanda Jean Grimmett of Hilldale; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Lawrence Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenbrier Burial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Zina and Jason Angell, Bobby Cales, Samuel, Ronnie and Joey Smith.
