Deanna was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Joseph's Hospital at 6 a.m. on 12 Feb 1961. She was 2 months and 27 days old.
Deanna was survived by her parents; 1 sister; 2 brothers; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Abbott of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and her paternal grandfather, Warren Davis of Hillsboro, Oregon.
Visitation was held after 7 p.m. on 13 Feb 1961 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Visitation was continued there the following morning until noon. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Valentine's Day afternoon at the South Roxana Southern Baptist Church.
