Mrs. Evelyn M. Jannsen, 64, of W1080 Riverview Road, Chilton, died Wednesday, January 13 at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton.

She was born May 17, 1917 in the town of Stockbridge, a daughter of James and Lena Joas Head.
She married Edgar Jannsen August 29, 1939 at Stockbridge. The couple farmed in the town of Rantoul. She was a former employee of the Carnation Co. at Chilton.
Mrs. Jannsen was a member of St. Augustine Catholic church, Chilton and the Daughters of Isabella.

Survivors are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. John (Ruth) Skahen of Chilton; one son, Eugene of Kaukauna; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Loretta (Hazel) Weber, Chilton, Mrs. Richard Hammer, Mrs. Roger Andrews, and Kitabelle Head, all of Stockbridge, Mrs. Rosella Radliff of Milwaukee; and one brother, Daniel Head of Kaukauna.

The funeral Mass was at St. Augustine Catholic Church. The Rev. David Christel, pastor, was celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery, Chilton.
