Melvin LeRoy Ludlow age 84 of Orleans Twp. Made his long awaited journey escorted to his heavenly father on the wings of angels on October 29, 2011. He was born June 18, 1927 in Palo the son of Otho and Margaret (Rier) Ludlow. Melvin retired from Extruded Metals Corp after forty years. He enjoyed reading and studying the bible. He taught the adult class in Sunday school as well as the class leader on Thursday evenings and also a usher in the church for many years. He loved his Lord and Savior. Melvin liked to watch baseball, he enjoyed airplanes and built model planes. He loved to listen to hymns. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was married October 27, 1952 to the wife he adored Luella May Bills of Howard City, they celebrated their 59th anniversary Thursday by eating their lunch together at Metron of Belding. He is survived by his loving wife Luella; daughter Wendy Saenz of Belding; grandsons Anthony Dehn II of Rockford and Dakota Saenz of Belding; granddaughters Margarita Saenz of Cedar Springs, Makala and Samantha Saenz of Belding; his great-grandson Riley Swindell; in-laws Roy and Arlene Bills, Louise Culver, Ronald and Loretta Scram, all of Howard City, Phillip and Lorraine Moore of Cedar Springs and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marjorie. Funeral services took place on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Grace Community Church with Pastor Byron Davey officiating with Burial in the Reynolds Cemetery.
