Opelousas- Memorial services for Nancy Anne Wartelle Williamson will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2012, in the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. Private graveside services will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, Louisiana. The Rev. Msgr. Keith DeRouen and Father Tom Ranzino will officiate the memorial service.

A native of Opelousas and a resident of Lewisville, Texas, Nancy passed away on Monday, November 19, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital at the age of 48. Nancy was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Wartelle of Opelousas. Other survivors include her husband, Dr. Richard Williamson of Lewisville, Texas; her three brothers, Johnny Wartelle and his wife, Cindy, of Sunset; Pat Wartelle of Lafayette; and Thomas Wartelle and his wife, Sylvie, of Washington, Louisiana; and her sister, Rebecca Reinders and her husband, Janko, currently residing in Brunei.

Nancy's family would like to give special thanks to Minnie Hickman, who was Nancy's loving caretaker and companion during a difficult time, and to Dr. Chancellor Donald, Jonathan Bourque, Reverend Matthew McCoy, and the rest of the staff in the Oncology Unit of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Edward B. Wartelle.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas, on Friday, November 23, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Instead of sending flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Miles Perret Cancer Services, 2130 Kaliste Saloom Road, Suite 200, Lafayette, Louisiana 70508.
