1926--2012

Huguette Denise Allan, 85, of Panama City, passed away November 13, 2012, at her home. Huguette was born in France, and lived in Paris until she married John E. Allan in April 1945. They lived in Birmingham, AL, John's former home, and Savannah, GA where Huguette worked as a French teacher and assistant librarian at the Country Day School. They retired to Panama City in January 1987. Huguette attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, and was dedicated to her husband, daughters, and especially her grandchildren. Huguette was preceded in death by her husband John, who died September 30, 2005.

Survivors include her daughters, Frances Dustin and Martine Mizener; 7 grandchildren: Timothy P. McBride, Brendon McBride, Michelle Olson, Christopher Zoltowski, Leah Tidwell, Erica D. Swanson, and Felicia J. Mizener; numerous great-grandchildren; her brother, Jean Claude Barreau; a brother-in-law, George Allan and wife Jeanette; and her sister-in-law, Doris Demuth.

A funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 AM Monday, November 19, 2012, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Roy Marien and Deacon Earl Myrus officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, November 18, 2012, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Huguette's name to The Alzheimer's Association.
