Geneva H. Hey of St. Clair, MO, formerly of Sullivan, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, Washington, Missouri at the age of 84 years, one month and three days.

Geneva was born in St. Louis, MO on October 14, 1928 to the late Henry J. and Eva M.(Harfmann) Hantak. She was raised in the St. Louis area where she attended school and, on February 7, 1959, was married to Louis William Hey, Jr.

They made their home in the Florissant, MO area until Lou's retirement when they came to Sullivan to make their home in 1992.

Geneva enjoyed walking and camping and boating. She was known as a "go-getter" and was always helping people. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Sullivan Fire Protection District and a member of Saint Matthew Lutheran Church of Sullivan.

She is survived by her husband, Lou Hey, of the family home; two sons, Louis Hey, III of St. Louis, Missouri, and Paul Hey and wife, Pamela, of Foley, Missouri; two daughters, Barbara Soboda and husband, Dan, of St. Charles, MO and Karen Whittler and husband, Roger, of Jefferson City, MO; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Along with her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Jim Hantak.
