Patricia Marie "Pat" Morton, 57, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord Friday, September 10, 2004. Pat was a loving mother, teacher and wife who loved life, music, the outdoors and especially her family. She was an EMT with Ashcake VRS, and a volunteer at Memorial Regional Medical Center. She leaves behind her husband, Ron Morton; three children, Amber Dawn Hunter and her husband, Mitchell of Malibu, Calif., E.J. Ivie of Aylett, and Jessie Ivie of Mechanicsville; two stepsons, Eric and Matthew Morton of Mechanicsville; and her brother, Mike Nash of Willoughby Spit, Va. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
