Arthur John Knoblauch was born in 1895 in Fairbury, but had lived in Murphysboro for 55 years.
He married the former Catherine Auer, who survives.
He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, the Elks Lodge, and Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Knoblauch retired after two years with Brown Shoe Company. He ha also worked for the Prudential Insurance Co. for 20 years. He died at the age of 65 in St. Louis.
