(Lt) John Evans Sr (a veteran of the French and Indian Wars) is a recently verified DAR ancestor patriot for his service of 1. Signing the NH Association Test and 2. for being a town officer in Hinsdale, NH. Lt. John was the father of Ethni, Eldad, Uriel and John Evans of Jefferson Co NY, the latter three of whom served in the military during the Revolution.
