Lloyd W. Paul was born on November 10, 1909 at Odebolt, Iowa. His parents were Charles A. and Sarah E. (Crawford) Paul. Lloyd married Goldie Heil on January 28, 1934 at Wagner, South Dakota. They farmed southwest of Tripp until 1942, when they retired and moved into town. He was a member of the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Tripp. Lloyd died on Monday, October 24, 1988 at St. Benedict's Hospital in Parkston, South Dakota at the age of 78 years.
Surviving are his wife, Goldie, Tripp; one son, Marvin, Sioux Falls; seven grandchildren, Mrs. Carmen Marquis, Mrs. Andre Thompson, Lavern Paul, Duane Paul, Russell Paul, Dan Paul, Larry Paul, 14 great—grandchildren, two sisters, lola Wade, Sac, Iowa; Myrtle Finneran, Odebolt, Iowa and one brother, Veryl Paul, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, his twin, Lyle.
