Anna Christine Schelske, the daughter of Gottfried Schelske and Eustene, nee Schulz, was born on February 20, 1874 in Russia. She has been a faithful member of the Lutheran church during her lifetime and has been a member of the Emmaus Lutheran church for the past 10 years.

She was united in marriage with Jacob A. Heil on January 13, 1895 and then lived on a farm near Wagner. Nine children were born of this union, five sons and four daughters. All but one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Paul, preceded their father and mother in death. Her husband passed away on May 26, 1939 at the age of 65 years.
