Mr. Windt, age 81 years, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2007 at Golden Ages Adult Foster Care. He was born in Bay City on August 8, 1926 to the late Anthony and Mary (Gwizadala) Windt. Jim married the former Shirley Blank on December 4, 1948 in Pinconning. She preceded him in death in 1980.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the European Theater. He received the Purple Heart. Jimmy was retired from Schafer Oil.
He is survived by three sons: Tony & Sandy Windt, Mike and June Windt and Rick and Linda Windt; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife; 2 brothers, Arthur and Larry Windt and a sister, Marie Kaunitz.
Funeral services were at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff link presiding. Graveside services with Military Honors were in Mt. Forest Twp. Cemetery.
