Evelyn R. Abercrombie, 86, wife of the late Grady F. Abercrombie, Sr., passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 at her home.

Born in Oconee County a daughter of the late Lem P. and Nona Crenshaw Head, she was retired with Jantzen and was a member of Concord Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter; Wanda A. Hyatt (Robert) of Pickens, three sons; Grady F. Abercrombie, Jr. of Sunset, Danny R. Abercrombie (Joyce) of Pickens and Roger K. Abercrombie (Sylvia) of Sunset, eight grandchildren; Frankie A. Broom, John Abercrombie, Bettina A. Keasler, Jeff D. Abercrombie, Lisa H. Ellenburg, Pam H. Nealey, Josh LaBoon, and Tiana Jones, fifteen great grandchildren, a brother; Morris Head (Louise) of Salem.

Mrs. Abercrombie was predeceased by her parents, husband, two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral service 2 PM Sunday in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with visitation 12:30 until 2 PM prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens Mausoleum.
