Andrew B. Pekar of Aurora, a retired Postal Service employee, died Sept. 24. He was 82.
A Mass was said Sept. 29 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Interment was in Golden Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 14, 1917, in Granger, Texas. He was a medic in the Army during World War II and attained the rank of lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserves.
His wife, Donnamae, preceded him in death.
He is survived by a daughter, Joan FitzSimons, Aurora; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
