Services will be graveside only for family and friends at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd on Friday, June 1, 10 a.m. Jerral Wayne Gibson, 67, of Bakersfield, was born Oct. 27, 1933 and passed away suddenly on May 27, 200101. Viewing will be at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel, Thursday, May 31, 12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wayne is survived by his wife, Barbara and sons, Mitchell, Michael, Mark; three grandchildren, Bailey, Chase and Josh; mother, Millie Gibson; sister, Shirley Vanderpool; brothers, Bobby, Kenneth, Jerry C. and Dale; aunt; uncle; nieces, nephews and cousins. He attended Arvin High School and was an Air Force veteran. He worked for the Operating Engineers for many years before retiring in 1995. Wayne's hobbies were fishing and doing mechanic work. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten by all who knew and loved him.
