William Wortham "Buck" Hamblett was the oldest son of Samuel Franklin Hamblett and Sarah (Sallie) Wortham. After his fathers unexpected death at the age of 27, William Wortham Hamblett's affairs and education were in the hands of his grandfather, William Taliaferro Wortham and then in the hands of his uncle of the same name. His mother then remarried to a man called Lynch. The Lynches and most of the Hamblett children left Georgia and moved to Mississippi. ( William Worthams sister remained to marry Lemuel Ridgeway). William Wortham Hamblett claimed land in Yalobusha county Mississippi. He married a woman who was 1/4 Choctaw named Edna Malissa Love. (Her cousin, Sloan Love was a signer of the Dancing Rabbit Creek treaty that Opened up Mississippi to settlers)

Note: This Cemetery is located on private property, fenced in with NO Trespassing signs. The graves are in danger of total loss. Some area already gone. This was a family plot for the Hamblett family of Benwood Mississippi.
