Cleve Arbogast, 93, died Tuesday night, March 20, 1984 at Alleghany Regional Hospital at Lowmoor. A son of Esau and Susan Bennett Arbogast, he was born Feb. 5, 1891 at Cherry Grove, W.Va. Mr. Arbogast was a retired farmer and a member of Lockridge Memorial United Methodist Church. On Oct. 14, 1912, he married the former Vergie Mick, who survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Hise of Monterey; Mrs. Elizabeth Huffman of Millboro, and Mrs. Elsie Chapman of Zephyrhill, FLa.; a son. Delton Arbogast of Monterey; a brother, Russell Arbogast of Harmon, W.Va.; three sisters, Maggie Bennett, Mintie Arbaugh and Lourie Bennett, all of Cherry Grove, W.Va.; 26 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 23 from the Obaugh Funeral Hone at McDowell by the Rev. Glen Adkins and the Rev. William Cox. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery at Mill Gap. Grandsons will be active pallbearers.

Virgie May Arbogast, 93, died Tuesday, May 15, 1990 at the home of her daughter, Elsie Chapman, Millboro, Va. She was born Aug. 24, 1896 at Cherry Grove, W.Va., a daughter of Solomon and Catherine Lambert Mick. On Oct. 14, 1912 she was married to Cleve Arbogast who died March 20,1984. She was a member of Lockridge Memorial United Methodist Church. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. Survivors include two other daughters, Elizabeth Huffman of Millboro and Virginia Hise of Hightown; a son, Delton Arbogast of Monterey; 21 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild. A service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, May 18 by the Rev. C. William Cox and the Rev. Leslie Napier at Obaugh Funeral Home, McDowell, with burial at Green Hill Cemetery.
