Kathy was the daughter of Leo Emanuel and Jean Hopwood Stodghill. She married Robert "Bob" Blackwell on August 3, 1969.
She was a member of Christ's Church. Kathy enjoyed quilting, crafts, trips to Branson, and she especially enjoyed Christmas. Those of us who were privileged to know Kathy have many beautifully hand-crafted Christmas ornaments and quilted items in our homes that she made for us. Kathy worked for 19 years for Truitt Abstract Company in Ottumwa.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father. Surviving are her husband; a son, Curtis D. (Julie) Blackwell; two daughters, Maliea (Troy) Hart and Jeannie (Joe) Grife; four grandchildren, Bethany Blackwell, Nicholas Blackwell, Tyler Hart, and Trenton Hart; her mother; and a sister, Sandy (Marvin) Rowell.
Her funeral was held at Christ's Church with Dan Smith officiating.
