John Moffett Cain, 94, of Cain Road, Laurens, SC, and husband of Margaret Nash Cain, passed away on November 25, 2012, at National Healthcare Center of Laurens.

Born in Laurens, SC, he was a son of the late Samuel R. and Esther Ramsey Cain. Mr. Cain was a member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church, was self employed in the dry cleaning business, and retired from Laurens Commission of Public Works.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Cynthia C. Goode and husband, George of Hickory Tavern, SC, and Richard Cain and wife, Janice of Laurens, SC; one brother, Roy Cain of Laurens, SC; one sister, Juanita Goodyear of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren, Sarah Goode, Stephen Goode, Leigh Ann Lindholm and husband, Will, and Andrew Cain; and two great-grandchildren, Samuel Lindholm and Erin Lindholm.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by six siblings, Samuel Cain, James Cain, Clifton Cain, Hall Cain, Helen Cain Thomason, and Marguerite Cain Langston.
