J. H. Pippin
Erwin – J. H. "Jack" Pippin, 76, 510 Seventh St., died Friday at his home.
He was a native of Johnson City and a son of the late James and Florence McInturff Pippin. Mr. Pippin lived most of his life in Erwin.
He was a retired locomotive engineer for the Clinchfield Railroad and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
Mr. Pippin was a member of Fishery Union Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Hazel Mauk Pippin; two daughters, Mrs. H. A. Jones and Mrs. Argol Honeycutt, both of Erwin; one brother, Charles Pippin, Erwin; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one niece and three nephews.
Erwin Funeral Home is in charge.
