Mother: Miriam Ada Short
Margie could take an engine apart and put it back together
Once put up a 1,000 jars of food while they were living in Cortez, Colorado which had been a long time dream of hers.
They ran a cafe in McCamey, Texas for a while
They kept a Ute Indian Girl, Emily, for a couple of years until she became of marriageable age and the Ute made them bring her back.
She said she could whip any one of her brothers or sisters but when they ganged up on her she was the one on the receiving end of it.........
She loved to fish, drank coffee all day, liked beer, loved country music and the song "The Dance" by Garth Brooks was played at her funeral. She smoked, cussed some and apologized to no one........I never saw her back down from anyone or anything in all the years she was my sister - in-law.........
