Red served in WW II in the US Army. He was a member of the American Legion in McCamey,Texas. He worked at many jobs including roughnecking driller, had his own mechanic shop in McCamey for a time, had lived in Cortez,Colorado. He and Margie had four children. Sarah Ann, Sharon Elaine, Gary Lee, and Katherine Rebeccca. They had seven grandchildren.

Red liked to read fiction books and was a heavy smoker. He was quiet and had a sense of humor. After I married his brother-in-law, Margie's brother, she would get irked at Red and I because she said we always had our heads in a book. Good memories of the early years ...........
