Funeral services for Billye Lytle of Brownsboro are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Faith Baptist Church of Brownsboro with Bro. James Conner officiating.

Billye passed from this earthly home to her Heavenly home on November 26, 2012.

Ms. Lytle was born to Henry Worth Tompkins Sr. and Carrie Ellen Wood in Brownsboro. Billye was born and raised in the Brownsboro area before moving overseas. She returned home in 1979 after enjoying the adventures and beauty she saw all over the world. She was a member of Faith Baptist church in Brownsboro where she loved teaching Sunday school. She spent many years as a member of the East Texas Medical Center Auxiliary and was a very proud supporter of the Brownsboro Volunteer Fire Department. Billye loved the outdoors. "Oma" was loved and cherished by her family and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters; Troy Tompkins, John Tompkins, Ophelia Tompkins, Marie Killingsworth, Minever McKnight, Amanda Jane Faulkner and Henry Worth Tompkins Jr.

Billye leaves behind her son, Richard and wife Jackie Lytle of Katy, Texas; daughter, Vicki Lytle of Houston, Texas; two brothers, James and wife Patsy Tompkins of Brownsboro, Texas and Jack and wife Jan Tompkins of Dallas, Texas; one sister Patricia Ball of Rusk, Texas; three grandchildren, Carrie and husband Hiren Patel, Julie Lytle, Sydney and husband Ryan Thompson and numerous nieces and nephews.
