Alta I. Stevens
MILTON, Fla. - Alta Irene Stevens, 87; 4490 Pine Forest Drive, died Tuesday in Florida.
A lifetime area resident, she was born May 31, 1909, in Mecca, a daughter of Month and Tinnie Dean Peterson, and spent her winters in Florida.
She retired from Richard's Milling Co. in Cortland, after working 16 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Evelyn) Badanjek, with whom she made her home; sister, Mrs. Bernice McPheron of Cortland; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Two sons, David and Johnny Lee; two daughters, Anna and Dorothy; and a brother, Grant Peterson, are deceased.
Cremation has taken place in Florida and internment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Cortland.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

A Memorial Service will be held May 31st at 11:00 a.m. at the West Mecca United Methodist Church. Dr. John Borgert, Pastor. It is located on St. Rt. 88. Mrs. Stevens passed away March 4th in Florida.
