Funeral Services for James J. "Skip" Hawkins have been scheduled for 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Rev. Kirt Moelling will officiate.

He was born April 14, 1939 in Vermilion, Alberta, Canada the son of James Edward and Helen (Hart) Hawkins. He died Monday, November 26, 2012 at his home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was 73 years of age.

Skip was a 1958 graduate of Union High School. He attended two years at the University of Oklahoma and received his Bachelor's Degree in Education from NEO. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was married to the former Miss Carol Holden on February 12, 1965 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He taught school for 3 years in Missouri and Oklahoma and was a stock clerk at American Airlines for 18 years. He was a Jaycee and a member of St. Stephen's United Methodist Church.
