Ernest Carlyle "Ernie" Kidwell, Jr., was called home by his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota surrounded by two of his sons, wife, and son's friend. Ernie was born November 2, 1936 in Scott City, Kansas to Ernest C., Sr. & Pauline H. (Wilson) Kidwell.

Ernie was in the Navy after high school graduation for 20 years. He was stationed at many different bases around the United States. Ernie was a very grateful member of the friends of Bill Wilson and worked hard in the AA program helping whom he could. He served and encouraged others to do that also. He was very happy to be studying the Bible cover to cover and verse by verse. He was ready at any time for the Lord to call him home. He is greatly missed by all and he has left a great calling.

Ernie was preceded in death by: parents; one niece; and one nephew.

Burial was in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska, with military honors.
