Amos H. Gingrich, 76, of 1 Picnic Woods Drive, Rothsville, died unexpectedly Saturday at his residence. He had been under a doctor's care.
He was the husband of the late Sarah S. Gingrich, who died in 1977. Born in Manheim Township, he was a son of the late Daniel C. and Mabel G. Helman Gingrich. He had lived in Rothsville for the past 55 years.
Gingrich in 1984 after bring employed 12 years as a maintenance worker on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
He was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Rothsville, and an associate of the Fraternal Order of Police, Red Rose Lodge 16, Lancaster.
He is survived by three sons: Daniel F., Rothsville, Robert B., Elizabethtown, and Donald E., Elkhart, Ind.; tow brothers: Roy H., Lititz and Daniel H., East Petersburg; one sister, Pauline H., wife of Vernon Mast, Lititz; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren."
