Calvin C. Kaut was born April 4, 1925 at Arroll, Missouri to George W. Kaut and Harriett Rachel (Milbank) Kaut. Calvin went to his heavenly home at Ozark Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday evening, March 14, 2012 making his age 86 years 11 months and 10 days.

He was united in marriage to Verna Ruth Payne, January 9, 1944 at Camp Water, Texas, making their union together 68 years. To their union they were blessed with five sons, Calvin Jr., Robert, Melvin, Jerry, and Jack and two daughters, Wanda and Cindy.

Calvin served in the United States Army during WWII. The 2nd day of D-Day, he landed on Normandy Beach, and also fought at the Battle of the Bulge.
He owned and operated the Mountain View Livestock Auction for approximately 17 years. He traveled from sale barn to sale barn trading livestock. He lived for his next "cattle trade". He was a great dad and grandpa. He was very kind hearted and would give anyone anything he had.

Preceding Calvin in death are his parents, George and Harriett, two sons, Calvin Jr. and Melvin Eugene, two grandsons, Brandon Kaut and Shannon White, two sisters, Margaret Cherry and Marie Bosley, four brothers, Al Kaut, Ralph Kaut, Harry Kaut and Raymond Kaut.

Calvin is survived by his wife Vera Kaut of Mountain View, Missouri, five children, Robert Kaut and wife Rose of Mountain View; Missouri; Jerry Kaut and wife Janet of Houston, Missouri; Jack Kaut of Mountain View, Missouri, Wanda Cooper and husband Calvin of Summersville, Missouri, Cindy White and husband G.C of Shell City, MO, 1 brother, Tom Kaut and wife Margaret of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, grandchildren, Jason and Jenifer Kaut; Scott Kaut, Tina Odom, Eric Kaut, Jared Kaut, Deloris Merritt; Ashley Kaut, Jamie and Dustin Cooper, Amanda Smith, Josh and Charlie Kaut, Kendall and Tristin White, two step grandchildren, Larry Fowler and J.R. Ross, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Calvin will also be mourned by his many friends and neighbors.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel; Family time will begin 8:30 Am; Friends visitation will begin at 9 Am until service at 11 AM,

Services: Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 11 Am at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with Rev. Rick Purcell, Rev. Kendall Ford and Rev. Emmett Bradford officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be at Arroll Cemetery under the care of Bradford Funeral Home of Summersville.
