George Arthur Lasky, 72, of Dallas (formerly of Hot Springs), died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at his home in Dallas, Texas.

George was born in Hot Springs to Albert J. and Hannah Geschmay Lasky.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jack Lasky.

George is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte; son, Andrew Lasky of Houston, Texas; and stepsons, Bryan Cytron and Jason Glater both of Dallas, Texas.

George retired from the accounting firm Lasky & Hawbaker CPA, Inc. and associated with Philip Vogel, Inc.

He was a member of the Hot Springs High School graduating class of 1958. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1963. While at OU he was instrumental in forming the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity and continued with the National Alumnae Fraternity. He was a member of Temple Emanuel and B'nai Brith. He was a founding member of Accounting Group International and Temple Shalom. George enjoyed traveling with family and friends throughout the world.

Honorary pallbearers are Arthur Skibell, Dorothy Wolchansky, Bruce and Beverly Laves, Susan Goltz Siegel, Ben Botnick, Roy Saffel, Steven Rosen, and the Hot Springs High School Class of 1958.

The funeral service will be given by Sheldon Kleinman at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the Jewish Rest Cemetery located on Summer & Albert Pike.

Visitation will follow the service at Phil's Restaurant located at Central and West Grand.

In lieu of flowers, if you chose to make a donation in his memory, contributions may be made to the Congregation House of Israel, Hot Springs, Arkansas; Temple Emanuel, Dallas, Texas, or the Museum of Southern Jewish Experience, Jackson, Mississippi.
