27 Jan 1927 His grave was moved from the Stophel Cemetery( in front of what today is South Holston Dam ) by the TVA before the valley was flooded; His grave is now at Glenwood Cemetery, Bristol, Sullivan Co., Tn.

Squire James A. Flick passed away at his home Tuesday evening at the age of 80 years.

Services were held with the Rev. Walter Keys, assisted by Rev. J. B. Wright.

Mr. Flick was one of the oldest settlers in the Nineteenth District having walked from Wise, VA to Sullivan County when a mere boy. He had made his home in Holston Valley since he came to the county. Mr. Flick was the first man to drive a wagon into the district, it is said. He was a member of the county court for several years, was active in political and religious affairs and was highly respected in his community.

He is survived by six children; W. H. Flick, J. C. Flick, J. E. Flick, H. G. Flick, Mrs. Robert Boling, and Mrs. Haster Gross. He is also survived by one brother, Jake Flick.
