Josiah Ellott Leavitt, a young man well-known in Ogen, and lately employed at the U.P. railway transfer, died in this City on December 31, 1887, of typhoid pneumonia. He was a young man of excellent character, the mainstay of the family and well respected by all who knew hem. He was born in Ogden, on the 15th of April, 1866, and was cut down in the very bloom of life. The funeral services will be held at the residence of the parents, corner of Pearl and Sixth streets, opposite the residence of C.C. Brown, Esq., on Monday, Jan. 2nd at 12 o'clock noon. Friends are invited.
