EDWARD ROMFH KIRKLAND, SR of Orlando, FL died at Winter Park Hospital. He was one of six children born to George and Ruby Kirkland. Ed was a WWII, U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, a flight instructor and combat fighter pilot. He attended the University of Miami, received his law degree from Stetson University, was a criminal defense attorney and in 1951, was elected to the Florida House of Representatives. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ann Kirkland; children, John Russell Kirkland, Robert Edward Kirkland and Julia Russell Taylor and seven grandchildren. A memorial service will be held December 1, 2012 at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Maitland, FL. Published in the Orlando Sentinel on November 29, 2012
