George Elijah Davis the only son of Lafayette and Elizabeth (Whitbeck) Davis was born on March 9, 1864 in Lackawanna, Lucerne County, Pennsylvania.
On February 27, 1896 George was united in marriage to Mabel Lena Wheeler, in Jewell County, Kansas. To this union three daughters were born; Chloe Elizabeth, Wilma Alice and Lena Atherton.
In August of 1933, he and his family moved from Ionia, Jewell County, Kansas to Giltner, Nebraska
where he lived the rest of his life.
