Helen E. De Lorme, age 89, of Sheboygan, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 8, 2012. She was born in Manitowoc on March 27, 1923, the daughter of the late John and Rose Adelmann Eigenberger.
Helen attended Holy Name Grade School and graduated from Sheboygan Central High in 1941. On July 5, 1944 she was united in marriage to Adolph J. De Lorme at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Adolph preceded her in death on November 17, 1997. Helen was a proud homemaker and was a wonderful mother to six children. She was a member of the CARITAS (Christian Women's Society) and a current member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Helen enjoyed gardening, playing cards especially Sheepshead and Tricks. Spending time with family and friends is what she enjoyed the most.
Survivors include her five children, Joseph (Phyllis) De Lorme, of Sheboygan, John (Nancy) De Lorme, of Brookfield, WI, Steven De Lorme, of St. Paul, MN, Mary (Mark) De Lorme Schleck, of Seattle, WA, and Susan (Brian) Dorn, of Burlington, WI; eleven grandchildren, Matt, Katie, David, Jeff, Dan, Mike, Angela, Nick, Gretchen, Peter and Megan. Helen is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Her husband, a son, Mike, two brothers, Ralph and Gordon, and her two sisters, Olive Cooper and Evelyn Kregal, all preceded Helen in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated on Wednesday September 12, 2012 at 5:30 P.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1305 Humboldt Ave., Sheboygan with Helen's nephew, Rev. David Cooper, officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 3:30 P.M. until the time Mass at 5:30 P.M. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Mausoleum.
