Marjorie J. Jolly, 89, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012 at her home. She was born December 8, 1922 in Madison, Indiana, to Gilbert Carl and Helen (Spicer) Jenkins.
Marjorie was a graduate of Madison High School. She married George Washington Jolly in Madison on December 20, 1945; he died May 1, 2004. She worked at Jefferson County Proving Grounds in Madison during World War II, and was the co-owner and secretary of Jolly's Kitchen Center in Wabash in the 1960's. She was a member of the Wabash Christian Church and the Wabash American Legion Auxiliary. Marjorie enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and computer work.
She is survived by three sons, Darrell Jolly, Keith A. Jolly, and George Kevin (Helen Mitchell) Jolly, all of Wabash; two brothers, Louis (Bea) Jenkins of Madison, and Don (Deloris) Jenkins of Nashville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 9-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Preferred memorial is Animal Shelter of Wabash County.
