From the Kentucky Enquirer, Saturday, November 7, 1996:

Wreck kills son of airport official, injures another man

BY JANE PRENDERGAST
The Cincinnati Enquirer

ERLANGER - An early moring accident Thursday left the son of a long time airport official dead and another man in critical condition.

Police officers are investigating what caused the 2:12 a.m. single car wreck on the Interstate 75 exit ramp onto westbound Ky. 236.

Pronounced dead at the scene was Theodore J. "T.J." Bushelman III, 26, of Florence. Mr. Bushelman's father, Ted, is spokesman for the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

James T. Brown, 35, of Dry Ridge remained in critical condition late Thursday at University Hospital in Cincinnati, where he was taken by AirCare helicopter.

Police say they are not certain which man was driving, though the 1988 Chevrolet involved in the accident was Mr. Brown's car.

The car went off the left side of the roadway and travelled 228 feet on grass and rocks. It then overturned several times before coming to rest in a culvert. Both men, who were not wearing seatbelts, were thrown out of the car.

Mr. Bushelman was pronounced dead at the scene by a Kenton County deputy coroner.
