Mrs. Ida Clara Adam, 71, widow of the late Charles Adam, 910 S. 17th St., died Thursday evening at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness.
A daughter of Herman and Bertha Lampe, she was born in Sheboygan on Nov. 21, 1881, attended Immanuel Lutheran School and was confirmed at Immanuel Churchin1897.
On Dec. 14, 1901, she was married to Charles Adam by the Rev. George Burger of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Mrs. Adam was a member of Immanuel Church her entire life.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Rosella) Hartfield; two grandchildren; a brother, Gordon, and three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Groschke, Mrs. Arthur Badtke and Mrs. Carl Kuehl all of Sheboygan.
Her husband died Nov. 5, 1935, and a son, Leslie was killed in Germany on Nov. 20, 1944, while serving in the army. An infant son, Elmer, four brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Steffen Funeral chapel with the Rev. Herbert J. A. Bouman, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be in Lutheran cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the funeral chapel after 10 a.m. Sunday.
