The obituary of Mrs. Francis Bleakly appears in to-day's Register. Mr. Bleakly will make his home in Marion this summer with relatives and old time friends all of whom sincerely sympathise with him in his great bereavement.

MRS. F. W. BLEAKLY

Mrs. Mary Alice Little Bleakly, wife of Mr. F. W. Bleakly, passed from this life, after a long illness, at the Little home, Mineral Point, Monday night, May 21, 1917; aged 59 years, 1 month, 12 days.

Decedent was born in the town of Linden, April 9, 1858. Her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis Little, were very highly respected poineers of this community. Mr. Little was a member of the assembly 1864 and 1865, and of the senate from 1871 to 1874.

December 6, 1898, Miss Mary Alice Little was united in marriage to Mr. Francis W. Bleakly and for four years they resided in West Prairie, Linn Co., Iowa, then they removed to Central City, Iowa, which was their permanent home until two years ago, when they removed to Long Beach, Calif. Mrs. Bleakly's health soon failed and the best skill of physicians and surgeons was unavailing, and with her loving husband she came back to her sisters and brother, and sustained by a true chirstian spirit, patiently waited and endured to the end of this life's journey. Of this spirit her pastor said: "During several months of wanting for the unquestionable translation Mrs. Bleakly was richly sustained by the grace of her Heavenly Father. Her life long relationship to Him as a humble trustful and obedient child was rewarded by the consequent peace and patience of one who had learned to rest in God through her Saviour."

The funeral was held from the home of Misses Ella and Susie Little on Front street last Thursday afternoon with services conducted by Rev. W. J. C. Bond.
