Mrs. Janice Lesla Adams, wife of Col. Norman H. Adams (USA ret), died yesterday morning in Fort ord Hospital following an extended illness. With her husband, she made her home on Guadalupe street between 5th and 6th avenues in Carmel. Mrs. Adams was born April 4, 1908, in Stockton. She grew up in that city, attending elementary and high school there before graduating from the College of the Pacific (now the University of the Pacific). She came first to Carmel in 1945, living here off and on until it became the permanent family home following her husband’s retirement. In addition to Col. Adams, she leave sher mother, Mrs. Lesla Dixon of Stockton. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Little-Chapel-by-the-Sea, with Chaplain (Maj) Edwin F. Hall Jr. of Fort ord officiating. Inurnment will take place in El Carmelo Cemetery Columbarium. The Paul Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
