He opened his first Agway store in 1965 in Peterborough, which has expanded into the six locations in New Hampshire and Vermont known as Achille Enterprises. He served on several Agway boards, the Peterborough Lions Club, the Board of Adjustment, the New Hampshire Poultry Association, and the Farm Bureau.
