On 12 June 1954, "Andy" married Marilyn Dee Uhlenberg in Robbinsdale, MN; he was age 25, she was 19. Born 19 January 1935 in Waterloo, IA; she was the younger of two children born to Merle Thompson & Dorothy Dee (Kokatan) Uhlenberg.
"Andy" was an electronics engineer who's career was working on the civilian side of military aviation. Initially (1956) he started with Lockheed Missle & Space Company in Sunnyvale, CA. He later transferred to Lockheed Aircraft in Burbank, CA.
Over his career he worked a Vandenberg AFB and later (1961) for NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) at Ent AFB in Colorado Springs, CO. After 1966, he worked for NORAD & Ling-Tempo Vought (LTV) at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma. After a short time there he moved back to Milpitas, where he again worked at Lockheed Missles & Space Systems until he retired.
